Archives for posts with tag: Ohio State University

As you may know from earlier posts, I spent yesterday at the Ohio State University football game.  The game was so much fun and topped off with a Buckeyes win!

The sun was shining (my face is now a bit tender from sunburn) through the entire game.  After the game, we got caught in some rain during the 765 mile walk back to the car and the wind was whipping us around like rag dolls.  Other than that I had a great time and I totally felt dressed for the event.  I didn’t get any pictures of me actually wearing my look; but here’s the look that I did wear.

Red Pants – Target, White tee – Target, Sweater – Forever 21, Gold Watch – NY&Co, Bracelet – Etsy, sandals – wal-mart, earrings and sunglasses – ??  I can’t remember for the life of me 🙂

I had a great time and can’t wait to go back!  What did you do this weekend?

*Go Ohio State!!*

Hey Everyone!

I mentioned last week that I will be going to the Ohio State University football game this weekend so obviously, that means a special outfit is in order.  I have only been to one other college football game and I do believe I wore a red t-shirt and jeans and threw on my brother’s hoodie during the game once temperatures dropped.

Sure, I was wearing school colors and I’m guessing at least half of the crowd was also wearing jeans and a school colored t-shirt, but this time I want to do a little more.  One of my favorite fashion blogs A Blonde Ambition is a football fan and is always mentioning game day fashions and how to step it up a bit.  She’s from the south and, apparently there,  it’s not uncommon for the girls there to wear stilettos and cute dresses, a far cry from my casual look from last year and she always offers great style ideas for game day, like this or this for instance.  While I’m not going to be rocking high heels for this game, I have had some thoughts of what I could possibly wear to up my style.

Bamboo flat heels

Guess jewelry

Purple jewelry

Aviator sunglasses

This is something that I could  see myself wearing to a football game.  It is comfortable but still fashionable and in school colors.  *Side Note:  I love that hoodie so much that I am thinking I am going to have to buy it ASAP!*  I’m going to go and look for something along these lines Friday and see if I can get away from the typical blue jeans and t-shirt look that is so much easier.

What do you normally wear to college football games?  Any thoughts of something I should try?

Have a great week!!

I hadn’t planned on blogging today but here I am.  A couple items before I get into my main topic:

  • I mentioned in yesterday’s post that I was going to watch the movie Warrior before heading off to bed.  I did and I LOVED IT!  Oh my goodness.  I don’t have enough good things to say about it.  Yes it was a cliched sports movie and I kind of guessed the outcome but it was still amazing and I kind of want to watch it again.
  • I have three, THREE, exams next week and I have to go into work two hours early tomorrow night to start my week off with a 10-hour work night.  Basically, I’m not looking forward to this week so much.  However, I am looking forward to this weekend because…
  • I am going to the Ohio State University football game next Saturday!!  My mom asked if I wanted the tickets and I snapped them up.  They are hard tickets to get (pretty sure OSU football is sold out for the next 50+ years or so).  I have been once before and the atmosphere is just amazing!  Expect pictures.
  • This also means I have to complete all items in my planner this week!  No writing them down and just moving them on to next week when I don’t get them done.  Yes, I still have a paper and pen planner; maybe I like the satisfaction of crossing something out or have a fear of my phone crashing (AGAIN) and taking my planner with it, either way I use paper.
  • And in two weeks time I will be sipping daquiris in Las Vegas.  Needless to say the rest of this month will be quite the busy one for this girl.

Now back to my main topic.  Black & Gold.  I had actually started this a while ago, put it on hold and forgot about it until tonight.  I was watching the season premiere of Glee (yes, I’m a Gleek, no shame there) and saw Kate Hudson and that body that she is rocking….  I mean seriously??  Is she not the mother of two small boys?  How is this fair??

Which then had me thinking something along the lines of:  God, I hate her!!  Ok, no I don’t hate her, I just want her body…  Hmm maybe I should head back to the gym and I could get something close to her body.  Of course then I will have to buy some clothes to work out in…  OH!!  Workout gear!  Blog post!

Or something along those lines.  A few weeks ago, I had an email from Victoria’s Secret about their new sports line “Black and Gold”.  It was instant love!  I would live in the gym (or at least consider going a few times a week) if I could own a few of these pieces.  Hopefully I can add a few of these to my gym bag and start sporting Kate Hudson abs in no time!

What about you?  Will you go for the gold?  Or maybe there’s another workout look you prefer.  Tell me all about it; I need something to get myself back on a treadmill!
