If you are like me (and most fashion bloggers) you probably enjoy a good shopping spree. I know spending the day at the mall and coming home with bags is a great way to spend an afternoon in my opinion but if I can support a good cause while I’m at it, that makes it that much more enjoyable! And this is a great month to do it. Yes, the month is just about over so get to shopping!!
Unless you have been living under a rock, you probably know that October is breast cancer awareness month. Whether you watch sports and see the NFL players sporting pink equipment, Dancing with the Stars and hear Tony Dovolani talk about wearing pink in honor of this month, or just walk through a grocery store with a very pink display in the middle of the aisle, you have probably seen the pink display in honor of this month.
So what are some of the things you can get that go towards breast cancer research? One of my favorite beauty stores, Ulta, has a ton of specials going on right now. When you check out, you can donate and get things back with your purchase. With a $1 donation, you are entered to win a beauty bag. Give $5 and receive a pink water tumbler or a fashion tote. $10 and you can get a pink kisses umbrella! For more information about the Ulta “donate with a kiss” program, head here.
Do you like jewelry? Stella & Dot is currently hosting a sale with all net proceeds going to fight for a cure. There are five items (two are currently sold out though) and all of them are absolutely adorable!! I especially love the Hope bracelet, below. Are you interested in checking out the items they have? Go here and see for yourself.
There are really so many places that you can find to shop for a cure, either in your local town or online. I did a quick google search for “shopping for a cause, october” and it came back with pages and pages of companies and products that all give back to the cause. So if you want to do a little guilt-free shopping and put some good karma out there, get to shopping. You only have a few days left!

That’s a great bracelet! I think that most of the Cancer research products that I buy are make up related! (on an aside, my vote is to keep your blog on wordpress, as it grows there is so much more you can do, especially if you self host!)
I’m ashamed to admit I haven’t really purchased many cancer research products. I occasionally donate money when asked at checkout, but that’s it so I love finding out about new products and companies that donate.
And thank you for your opinion about where to keep my blog! I love WordPress but I think I just need to learn what all I can do with it.
Yeah, I mostly donate but it’s also a good excuse to buy great makeup. I’m biased to wordpress. If you look at the ‘big’ blogs and sites they are all on wordpress.I also find that they have a cleaner look, but that’s just me and really with bloglovin it’s easy to follow anyone!
You’re right, I do love the clean lines on WordPress. And the thought of switching over and trying to get readers switched over and all the information to change is just exhausting! 🙂
